Summer is here, and for me that means reading season! Between traveling, laying by the pool or the beach and lazy Sundays, I try to squeeze in as much reading as I can. If you’re looking for a book to pick up for the summer months, here are a few of my favorites that I recommend to anyone who asks!
Untethered Soul - What would it be like to be free from limitations and soar beyond your boundaries? Michael Singer’s book “The Untethered Soul” explores just that. It’s an amazing book exploring his journey towards spiritual liberation, and I couldn’t put it down.
A Path with Heart - For more than three decades, Jack Kornfield has been teaching “western” cultures how to integrate eastern teachings into their everyday lives. He’s able to take bigger, abstract ideas (like spirituality) and explain them in ways that anyone can relate. It’s approachable, interesting and overall a great read.
The Last Lecture - It’s no secret that this book has changed lives- just look at the almost 3,000 raving reviews on Amazon! One man used his journey with terminal cancer to help others answer the existential question— What wisdom would we impart to the world if we knew it was our last chance? It’s emotional, inspiring and a must-read for anyone who hasn’t yet!
Jessica Olie E-Books - Jessica Olie has three e-books as part of her #LetsStartYoga series, and I can’t recommend them enough! If you’ve ever been curious-yet-intimidated by the practice, these downloads are perfect for you. Bonus - they’re all online so you can download to an iPad or kindle for easy traveling!
The Creative Habit: Learn it and Use it For Life - In this book, award-winning choreographer Twyla Tharp shares the secrets that have helped carry her more than 30-year career to success. She shares her tips for cultivating your creative talents, no matter what they may be! Clean the clutter from your mind and tap into creativity you never knew you had with this quick-read!
