5 Things I’m Loving Right Now
/1. Pink Tea Infuser @teamiblends: Focus Tea, Relax Tea @teamiblends
While I understand the whole “sometimes I get sick of water thing”, I can’t say I fully understand the extensive selection of teas, juices, and soda’s at every gas station. The idea of drinking something packed full of artificial sweeteners and chemicals is nauseating; perhaps, if the selections were made with real ingredients folks would make better choices. Thankfully @teamiblends has created a pocket-size infuser available in multiple colors that makes choosing the right drink on the go an option.
Teami Relax has five ingredients: Lavender Flower, Chamomile, Lemongrass, Orange Peel, and Valerian Root extract. Sometimes I get so tired in the late afternoon and then find myself restless and craving sweets at night. Luckily, Teami Relax kicks both nighttime munchies and afternoon restlessness.
Teami Focus boasts 11 plant based ingredients and is my go-tofor creating a more clear focus and attention to detail. Forget about the extra cup of coffee... grab Focus Tea instead.
2. First Aid Kit Products
Eczema has been a lifetime struggle of mine. I remember having splotchy red spots behind my knees and in my elbow creases as a child. Many days, those spots would itch so badly I would scratch them until they bled. Today, I have multiple spots on my hands and arms where the pigmentation in my skin has faded due to years of outbreaks in repeated spots. When all my friends began buying their skin products at Bath and Body Works and Victoria’s Secret, I followed suit only to find that the perfumes and dyes inflamed my sensitive skin even more. Dermatologists continuously recommended Aveeno, Cetaphil, and Aquaphor for daily use, but I always wanted to use something more exciting. I admit, I love product marketing and I wanted to buy something more attractive than a supermarket lotion with an unexciting label. Enter First Aid Kit Products, they’ve got my heart, and I don’t see myself straying anytime soon. Their products are packed with yogi- friendly ingredients like: clay, charcoal, colloidal oatmeal, shea butter, and more. Better yet! You can find them where you’re probably already shopping, like Sephora.
3. Cropped Yoga Pants
People often ask me why I don’t sell cropped yoga pants at my studio. Honestly, I just don’t care much for them; in fact, the way the sweat feels on my calves really annoys me. Additionally, I like keeping my pants long enough to grab the fabric under my heel in balancing poses such as uttitha hasta padangusthasana b. Despite my inclination to reach for a pair of yoga leggings, recently I’ve enjoyed wearing yoga crops!. I’ve found that they offer the versatility to double as pants for walking pups or going for a jog in the park in addition to rocking an awesome practice. The unwelcomed sweat on my shins and ankles has given me the additional challenge of engaging more low belly action, uddiyana bandha, and focusing more on my breath.

4. Custom Converse Chuck Taylors
Recently I went on set for a day long photoshoot with a new supplement brand out of Nashville, Tenn.. My only requirement for the photoshoot was to bring my own tennis shoes. I asked the director if I could wear my tried-and-true chucks...enough said.
